The Library of America

The Library of America attempts to preserve the greatest of American writing.  They issue new books every year, so there will never be a complete collection of their books.  The following are the books in the library as of September, 2016.  As I read them, I will be hyperlinking from here to my thoughts and comments.

Given the complete lack of guidance as to what order these books should be read in, feel free to suggest in the comments what book I should read next.  Since I only order the books once a year, there will be a long delay between your suggestion and the blog post.  Once I’ve posted on the book, I’ll delete the comment.
